What is Facial Recognition?
Isabel is a Marketing Specialist at DGA.
Facial recognition is a biometric software application capable of uniquely identifying or verifying a person by comparing and analyzing patterns based on the person’s facial contours. Facial recognition technology offers a seamless and efficient way to authenticate users for access control.
DGA offers facial recognition scanners as part of a single or dual-factor authentication access control system for our customers. If a known authorized person walks up to the scanner, the door will automatically unlock in a single-factor system and will require an additional form of authentication in a dual-factor authentication system. One of the benefits of this kind of device is that there is no concern that the access credentials of the authenticated person will be stolen. It also can monitor for tailgating in a way that more traditional access control systems with card scanners cannot. Additionally, sophisticated algorithms make these devices spoofing-free.
